VLP are Pia Palme, Susanne Kirchmayr aka Electric Indigo, and Jorge Sánchez-Chiong aka JSX. Kirchmayr edited, mixed, and produced the recording of their live performance at the festival for jazz and musical improvisation artacts ’10 in St. Johann in Tirol, Austria, for the CD album now released on Idyllic Noise – a label that is part of Musik Kultur St. Johann / Alte Gerberei / artacts. In interaction of sub-bass recorder, electronics Pia Palme, synthesizer, computer [Electric Indigo], and turntablism JSX, the trio

VLP creates complex acoustical terrains, develops polymorphic musical landscapes. New York based photographer Béla Borsodi complements the album with one of his ingenious still lifes for the cover.

“Sub-bass flute, electronics, and turntables in well- balanced performance, albeit Electric Indigo lays down the matrix for cooperative improvisation for the most part. Subtle loops, abstract berserk rage, and dark blowers give off a fierce and chilly breeze.” (Andreas Fellinger, Freistil #30)
